Status

A status is an update for your accepted contacts that disappears after 24 hours. Status needs an account.

Who sees it​

Your accepted contacts, by default. Before you post, you can share with only some of them, or leave particular people out. Whatever you choose, only people you've accepted as contacts can see it.

Views, replies and deleting​

  • You can see who has viewed your status.
  • A reply to a status arrives in your personal chat with that person.
  • Deleting a status removes it for everyone straight away. Anyone who already viewed it has seen it.

The limit​

Status updates aren't end-to-end encrypted, so AChat's servers can read them. Access rules limit who else can see each one to the audience you chose.
